Responsibilities:
It is the primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager, Meissner Technical Services (MTS) to act as the primary commercial liaison between the direct, OEM and distribution sales channels and Meissner Technical Services (MTS). The Business Development Manager, MTS acts as the strategic champion and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Company’s rapidly expanding microbiological and analytical services portfolio to support process qualification and validation for the adoption of the Company’s product portfolio of micro and ultra-filtration solutions, single-use systems, end-to-end (E2E) process solutions, and accessories for critical processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing.


How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and promote microbiological, analytical and other services to support end user process qualification and validation efforts towards the adoption of the Company’s rapidly expanding product portfolio of micro and ultra-filtration solutions, single-use systems, end-to-end (E2E) process solutions, and accessories for critical processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Support sales and team selling efforts as the resident SME for microbiological, analytical and related services to prospective and existing customers alike to aid end users in qualification and validation efforts toward successful product implementation commensurate customer needs and requirements.
  • Devise and execute new services education programs.
  • Assist the NPD effort for the filter and single-use system product portfolios in concert with the engineering, operations, sales, and marketing staff.
  • Perform necessary travel in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and South America as directed, following company travel policies and using the most efficient method of travel for time and appointments.
Qualifications:

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in Science preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical process development (PD) or process validation (PV) as a technically proficient professional using filtration, single-use systems and/or bioprocessing equipment, in the biopharmaceutical industry or CDMO’s is required.
  • Proven performance and a strong record of accomplishment in selling validation services, commercial aptitude, project management, meeting and exceeding company goals is necessary.
  • Must be able to utilize pharmaceutical qualification and validation requirements in process development and manufacturing to render and promote Company’s services portfolio
  • Must effectively interact with various levels in a customer organization including R&D, process development (PD), process validation (PV), regulatory affairs (RA), materials science and technology (MSAT), manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance (QA), and procurement personnel in a consultative manner as a SME.
